Welcome to a space created by and for Black women, where your voices and stories come together with research to shed light on experiences that often go unheard. We believe it’s essential for Black women to have a dedicated place to share, connect, and find understanding in ways that haven’t always been accessible. Through this lens, we aim to explore and celebrate all aspects of health that are important to us all. We’re so glad you’re here.

Guidelines for submission

Thank you for willing to submit your story! We really appreciate it! We would really love to cover as much as you’d be willing to share so we’ve created a template for you to go through!

  • What condition you have
  • How long you’ve had the condition
  • Explain your initial and any follow up diagnosis – feelings, the diagnosis process, how you have dealt with coming to terms with it
  • How you’ve adapted your life to live with the condition – change in lifestyle, diet, relationships etc
  • What worried them the most and how they have overcome it
  • Advice for others with the same condition and how to manage it
